We invite you to call our volunteer coordinator at 604-263-7333  to find out how you can help.

Volunteering

ASK always welcomes new volunteers as kitchen helpers, piano players, swimming attendants, life story recorders, transportation / activity helpers, and people to meet and greet and otherwise spend quality time with the interesting members of the ASK Centre.

Youth opportunities

Our members always enjoy talking with young people. If you are a student who needs a work experience site, or a volunteer opportunity over your summer break or free periods, then ASK is the place for you!

(see below for parents and tots and life history recorder opportunities)

Parents and Tots

Children gets lots of love at ASK! If you are looking for a way to bring experiences with older people into your child's life, you have found it. ASK welcomes you and your infant or toddlers. You can even make ASK a stop during your morning stroll. (Note: We request that you be present to supervise your child at all times)

Life History Recorder

Spend only one hour once a week reminiscing and recording interesting life stories with our seniors. If you are interested in history and love to hear unique stories, this is the volunteer position for you. You will work one to one with a senior for 2 months. It is a truly enlightening and fulfilling experience.

Even four hours a week can make a big difference at ASK. Please call (604-263-7333) and ask for our volunteer coordinator to find out how you can help.
